The doors have finally closed on Clorinda Popova.
This PC was interesting to play because she developed in very unexpected directions. The only thing I knew about her at creation was her rather specific past, and that I wanted her to become a Warder, so I could see what that experience might be like.
While Clorinda did her best to stay alive as Warder #4772, the server was a bit slow back then and not much happened. But then, Howland returned, and with an increase in DM activity, so did a lot of other excellent players who had been absent for a long time. It led to a very dynamic and interesting period in the server with a lot of great opportunities for RP.
Clorinda was shaped by the unexpected events that occurred in this period and by the relationships, hostile or friendly, that she forged with other PCs. And these dynamics were still in motion, so I regret not getting to see where they would ultimately take her. In any case, these interactions were ultimately what was fun about playing Clorinda and I want to thank everyone who contributed. I must say there have been some really excellent and well-played PCs around in the past several weeks, some new and some old, that I was fortunate enough to get to see in action.

Clorinda is a prime example of why I keep coming back to EfU! Her drive for survival and desperation made her so very juman to me.
Westra and I will miss her deeply!

I was lucky enough to see Clorinda through the lens of two completely different characters. I really, -really- enjoyed the tale of this poor and chipper woman thrust into harsher and harsher circumstances and increasingly ill-fitting roles, a path that reached its apex with her death.

A wonderful PC! Vibrant, with some obvious neuroses and flaws. A step apart from the cliché, smug spellguard agent we often see. Even when she wasn't around, people talked about her. Her funeral was touching, and that so many PC's cared enough about her to hold one, definitely says something!
