Tancred Renathis

This character was created on Sunday, July 24th, 2016 at 08:17:20 AM.
Since creation, this character has logged on and off 198 times.
The character has spent 5 days, 15 hours, 56 minutes, and 46 seconds online.

Tancred has finally met his end. He died how he lived: fighting against the odds. I threw together the character based on a few notions:

- A barbarian who subverts the notion of mindless violence and instead seeks to understand and research effective, targeted and studied violence.
- An evil character who has a guiding philosophy based upon uplifting those around him. Proving the opposite of 'good is not always nice' that: 'evil is not always asshole.'
- A scholarly barbarian. The power of nerd rage.

I was also listening to the Guilty Gear soundtrack a lot which may have had something to do with it...  (//%22https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F577tB8JvOc%22)

He ended up being a character who had success far beyond what I had envisaged. I particularly want to thank the players in the Custodians faction for some excellent roleplay and storytelling along the way. Also Divine Intervention for involvement in spooky business and for allowing me free reign to stay true to the character in the end. What was initially a very silly concept evolved into something quite serious and I had good
[/S] MAXIMUM fun along the way.

Sadly there are some regrets. I never did get to host VIOLENCE debates or earn one of those damned difficult to grasp Mantles of Knowledge. However, I am very happy with the way his story played out and that's mostly thanks to those who took his ridiculous, over the top, philosophy seriously. So my thanks to you!

Most of the screenshots I have of the character involve some fairly spoiler heavy scenes, so I shall have to leave his excellent adventures to your imagination.

See you on my next character.

It'll probably be a wizard.

I wish I had gotten my signed copy of Maximum Violence while I had the time (it's bound to increase in value now!) Thank you for all the excellent stories and good times.

What a character. I will miss the dubiously loyal Tancred. You nailed this PC.

Good luck on the next.

Tancred was a complex mixture of apparent contradictions, but it all clicked together! Great job!

Cheers and see you on your next.

Probably the character my own spent the longest amount of time with. He was a great character to be around, and was an excellent example of amiable evil.

I didn't get to interact with this guy nearly enough. I think keeping Evil fresh on EFU is extremely important, and I can't think of many(if any, really) that succeeded at it more.

Get up to rock.
