Title: Rhea Galloway: A Light in the Darkness.
Post by: OpenDoors on November 07, 2015, 10:53:21 PM
When I was introduced to online role playing communities I found myself very nervous to role-play and I wasn't sure if my skill was at a level where I could even comfortably do so. I made a simple character concept that I knew I could play effectively; a humble servant to Ilmater. From the very first moment I logged in I knew that I was going to have a lot of epic events happen around my character, but I wasn't sure how to get involved myself. As I played I grew and learned from the people around me that a character starts off as a concept, a theme or an idea and evolves into so much more to create a shared narrative. I didn't get to play Rhea for a long time, I've only been here about a month, but the amount of story I experienced was more than enough to inspire me to create new and interesting characters, I've learned a lot about Role-Playing and about how being good is sometimes its own reward.

I want to thank you and say I'm very impressed by not only the welcoming arms of this community, but also the eagerness to aid in creating a rewarding story for a character I was so nervous to role-play on. I'm very attracted to the story and although I was sad when I saw her death, I also knew that she died in a realistic way, she was dragging the body of her friend to save him; a tragic and perfect end to the type of character I wanted her to be.

Here are some screenshots, I don't take a lot of them but I feel like these were some of my highlights:

Rhea innocently following a spirit only to be ambushed and saved.

And the moments before her demise by the dread armies.

Thank you EfU, I don't know what concept I'll stick with next, but I know and am ready for the fun to be had.

Thank you to all the players and DM's that put up with my noobiness, thank you to everyone who role-played with my character in a meaningful way.

I liked that I can usually find Rhae praying in a corner at the Square. Hahaha Just you being around adds a lot to the setting.

Hope to see what you come up with next.

I didn't get to meet her much but from from what I saw of her she seemed quite well portrayed.

I'm glad you had such a positive experience on your PC on the server, looking forward to seeing your future PCs around!
