Wow
That word best presents my feelings toward this new update. That DMs can even script systems like this into an almost decade old program without making haks/overrides is absolutely amazing to me.
A great rather late thanks to the DM team for all the hard work you all do
Thank you for the present, DM team.
Let the creepy stalking begin! :)
Seriously though, these are awesome perks. Glad to see sorcs get more variety, and some more perks that don't herd them into melee! Very creative, too.
Arcane mimic looks like so much fun. Deffinately will be rocking that on my next toon.
It's a Christmas miracle! *Weeps tears of joy*
Oh thank you, Jesus! (And Johannes)
Jehannus
Does arcane mimic 'just' mimic stolen spells; or does the creature attempting them actually fail? And does this only stem from spellcasts or used items as well?
He sees a spell being cast and then he copies it for himself. He's not "stealing" it away, per say.
Here's one for you:
As a spell is always its own counterspell, would the spell stored in arcane mimicry be possible to use in counterspell mode?
Interesting idea, but (mostly for technical reasons) the arcane mimic is literally incapable of countering spells
Bummer!
But honestly I think the arcane mimic perk is almost enough of a change that it could be considered its own class. Very impressive work on this and the other ones, Johannes!
Speaking of it... Johannes, it would be awesome if you guys managed a simpler way to counter spells... without the need of three clicks and good aim. Kinda alike the player tools, I'd say... a single button that could be hot keyed, you know? You hit it and fire it on the one you want to counter...
sidenote: the initial perks of lifesteal are already awesome!
I will develop a concept for it soonish.
I dunno if I'm the only one having this issue, but each server reset seems to reset all my player tools since I picked up the mimic perk.
Please make suggestions in the suggestions thread. This is just an appreciation thread.
Ahmigosh Granny is playing another sorc? Could it be.... could it be that our time has come at last for a dreadwitch duo?
