The story of Alura Hiddencrypt was never a kind one. Born in the harsh lands of Thay, her owner raised her to be a indoor slave, one to keep the house clean for the Magister's of the realm. However, her lifeless devotion to her tasks attracted the interests of a Jergali scribed, who called in a favor from the owner in question, and thus began her duties as a scribe to the Pitiless God, the Lord of the End of Everything, Jergal.
Raised steeped in religious lore, theology, and spirited debate over the precepts of Necromancy, Immortality, and the End of Times, it soon became evident that she resisted the enervating effects of the temple, showing such resistance to the arts of mage and priest alike, she, still a slave, was forced to undertake the rigorous training that paladins (cryptwards) undertake to become what they were. It was not her decision to become a paladin. Lifeless devotion had her accept her oaths, and become a defender of the dead and those whose time was not up. Then she was taken to Ymph.
Hearing of the Order's Apocalypse, she immediately sought to join the Organization. Bringing the fanatical, bleak, fatalistic devotion of Jergal's faith. Her goal was not to stop the Apocalypse, but rather, change it in a way that would be suitable to Jergal's principles. She was to -cause- the end of all life, it's slow, withered decline into death. In destroying the Maiden, and taking over the means by which the withering was spread, she hoped to send all life swirling into the death, and finally, the followers of her faith can be relinquished from their ultimate duty.
She obviously failed since you all are alive. Fuckers.
Anyways, here are some screenshots I took.
...
Actually, I only got one worth sharing.

Wonderful character :P Too bad i didnt get to RP with her much :( GLAD she didnt succeed though(sorry) I quite like living!
You have this awful tendency of screwing me over and then forcing me to endure your enjoyment of sloppy seconds.
[but, yes, great PC even if I did disagree with the implementation, she was cool and stuff]
I enjoyed this unorthodox doomsaying paladin a whole lot. Good times.
Here's a random shot of paladin buddies fighting side by side against hordes of undead.

You did a great job with this character. I really appreciated the creepy religious vibe she brought about, such as the trip to the temple of Jergal where she actually started flogging herself. You did a lot for the Order in the space of time Alura was around, too, and really took the helm. Got no screenshots, personally, but I'll remember her exploits regardless.
So how did she get that last name?
Awful PC wish you never would have made her.(Because you are complete scum and told me you were going to join me!)
Jk man she was alright I guess, if she was alive today she would listen to Hawthorne Heights and cut her wrists.
No really I'm kidding good pc Thomas glad you had fun with your little paladin :)
I wanted more time with her :(
sorry to say i am glad, Alura has been on Sion's ass since she met him. Again, sorry to say it. Never got to see his RP much since i had to go out of my way to avoid her.
It's the HIDDEN HIDDEN!
Pfft- Thomas, Pffft-
Good Char mate.
RIP Alura. You were the best thing to happen to the Order in a while. Wish I had gotten more time to spend with her on both my characters. So much potential lost...
Fuckin' Clavers! This is why we can't have nice things!
;_;7
Thanks for the bless weapon spells.
I was starting to lean Order too. :(
Was an interesting take! I liked it. Pretty original. You also took me to Sunken Enclave for the first time, and we rocked it until a certain vampiress. Was fun. ♥
At least I wasn't bonded to you this time with your brief stay in a faction I'm a part of!
Alura was fun, shame that I couldn't be around to RP more with her.
Lawl.

Good stuff Thomas. I liked her.
Terribad
I suppose I should mention that Alura was designed press the boundaries of everything about the Paladin's Oath. I really walked a fine line with the PC, and I should give thanks to every single one of the Conclave PCs who witnessed her end, I enjoyed the role play leading up to the final execution.
I might be taking a break from efu at this point. But I hope you all keep rocking.
Now that you're gone, I might become friends with the Order Numinous. Sweet.

Me too >:D
And just when I thought Alura and Ehdgaven's tense relationship was going to start throwing off some interesting sparks!
Well played, don't be gone long yes?
Who is going to come by the Barracks multiple times a day resulting in Musterman Bronn having to do boatloads of paperwork? :(
I liked Alura quite a bit I feel like I had a fair bit of interaction with you over the short time I've known your character. Its always fun to see Alura's extreme viewpoints on certain matters. The time you took us all out to the Jergal temple just to flog yourself was entertaining, and a fun patrol over all. She was an in your face character who harassed more people than I can count (resulting in more paperwork), and was always getting into something dangerous and involving.
Thanks for the fun, the scary, and the strange times.
Aw :( Now whos going to be the polar opposite to my bard?Wtf man...I know youre out there somewhere. You were on every single time I was on I cant see you quitting cold turkey! Youre not fooling me sir!
It is too bad I wasn't around more often with her. =[
She was a pretty dangerous Order-woman with guts for taking on the Abberant King earlier within the week or two, even if she did lose. It's a shame she's gone, I liked the character. Not too many Order-men left. :C
I'm glad I earned her trust, maybe she won't eat me if she comes back as a zombie.
