What is your favorite scene in the famous Trilogy, THE LORD OF THE RINGS?
Mine was when Gandalf Shows up in the movie, the Fellowship of the Ring, and says,
"A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives exactly when he means to."
Yours?
"Toss me. Don't tell the elf."
When Dumbledore says: "There is no try, do, or do not"
"Aruugh" by Uruk-Hai soldier.
"Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew."
~Gandalf on fools of a Took
"That still counts as one!"
"Certainty of death. Small chance of success. What are we waiting for?"
Gimli
Gimli. 'nuff said.
"..I will diminish and go into the west, and remain Geladriel" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CX3px_Ivs44)
"Fly, you fools!"
When Gandalf is telling Pippin about what happens when you die.
One of my favorite paragraphs was a very short, very subtle passage in the Fellowship which gave a hint as to where the Entwives might be before Frodo & Company ever leave the Shire.
READ THE BOOKS!
Tom Bombadil
Well, if we're talking about the movies. It is not necessarily my favourite scene, but one that is memorable:
The wizard battle between Gandalf the Grey and Saruman the White within Orthanc and the scene leading up to it. (//%22http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5hHOCvAiuY%22)
In HD, battle only. (//%22http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1Vyhve9gtg&feature=related%22)
