Title: The Ankh of Ymph
Post by: AnkhOfYmph on June 12, 2011, 07:57:08 PM
Infantryman Aishȇ Nafrémetit, Second Honors, was created after half a year of running amok with a Stargazer.  I wanted to create a rather serious, honor/duty bound character who would show a different face of the Armada than I had yet seen.

I think I succeeded in creating someone who was empathetic but also unflinching in the face of dangers and unpalatable duties.

I had a few goals in mind for this character, one of which I think I succeeded and one that I was piecing together when the "Time of Choices" came.  Aishȇ leaves active play as a PC with the dubious distinction of being the last of the PC Stygians... until they return.

I want to give a very special thanks to Core who probably guided my play with Aishȇ more than most, as well as Halfbrood and always Mort.  Howland knows he's the man, and GD-it, the whole EfU:A DM team.  Such an awesome crew telling such an awesome story.

Aishȇ's "Partner in Crime" Camille de Ferbourg, played by ToH, thanks so much for playing a character Aishȇ could always count on.

And so many other wonderful wonderful characters during Aishȇ's time, thanks so much: Ancient Mystery's Sventlana, VP for Harvix and Gregor, Caddies for Dagmer Rus, EQ's Aurelius, Smaug for Sanny and Gustin, RfnR for Griffonlord, Revan's Trouble, Capricious with Abi, WH's Annette Omelette DuFromage, BoM's Kolvuro and Qaraja, DrD's PRaxes, Mastermind's Velunir, Griff with Zissren, TbM's Roryn, Krunto's Ulphilas, VS with Sicily, players of Gerold Valdimir and Jack Whitefield, everyone who played a Militia PC (LO-YA-LIST!  Rule of FIDDY!) and everyone who helped this character's development and made her into an utterly enjoyable experience to play.

I would be remiss if I did not give a very special shout out to RWG!  Congratz on keeping a character alive longer than a week.  Khavenko has been a huge impact on a lot of characters and on the story itself.  Keep on rocking.

EfU through to EfU:A and whatever is next... it has genuinely been one of the most epic, satisfying stories ever told.  I pity the word at large who will never truly know such a story existed.

Pimpslapping Shargass, they could never scare Aishȇ after that one time...

I present:

The Loot
More than this passed through Aishȇ's hands, but these were the special pieces:

This is just royally pimp, there is no denying it.

Aishȇ's devotion to Horus-Re was unquestionable.

This was such a pimp blade.  What did it do?  Some secrets shall be kept!  So sayeth the Whisper.

So anyhoo... I will miss playing Aishȇ.  She was an absolute joy.  Big ups, EfU!!!

Excellent character, and she was by far my favorite Stygian since joining EfU. She was approachable, but still duty-bound..perfect balance! I can not wait to see your next!

Aishê was beyond awesome, a joy to work with. I'll miss her so very much, but always treasure the privilege of having been her partner in crime.

Oh... and that 'Pig!' was not actually meant for Benes. It was a shout of warning about incoming exploding death pig. >.>

very, very well done. I had two characters that knew her, neither of whom liked Stygians very much, but they both respected her above all others.

I liked the less brutal and brooding nature of her as a Stygian. All the others have tended towards the tyrannical approach of upholding laws with an iron fist whereas Aishe was of course unwavering in her duties yet more open minded.

Great screenshots too!
