The perk is a bit limited due to the fact that it cannot be used to heal someone who is currently already under its effects. I suggest the healing portion of the perk function on the caster/allies regardless of whether they are currently already benefiting from a previous turning.
I am not suggesting that the saving throws bonuses be stacked, just the ability to heal.
Without this ability it leaves the perk rather dull if the user is forced to wait every time the effects run out. If I recall correctly, the war screamer is able to spam the damage portion of their perk on the enemies in the area of effect each round when it is used (which seems much more powerful).
If this is not possible, I'd like to suggest the turn undead to be stacked upon rather than replaced when taking the perk. I feel weaker as a paladin with the perk honestly (mostly because I did not realize it replaced the original turn undead).
I saw this perk in effect for the first time today. It's nice, but compared to others I've seen it isn't all that effective.
War screamer is extreme overpowered in that respect hitting like a version of sonic burst as in duels you will be continuously spammed with it repeatedly and OOC it makes sense yes, but ICly im thinking, Are they screaming repeatedly? or is it just a sonic burst that emits from their holy symbol. Also war screamer should be given as a dm only perk as I have noticed a good many clerics don't even emote yelling when they use it. Just more of a AOE rather then a bit of flavor for them.
While on the other side crusaders zeal is more like a paladins bravery, a nice bit of off to the side spice. That compared to a ability like war screamer is sadly and insanely under powered. I would suggest giving it some sort of oomph- Like a + against evil or some sort of damage shield of holy damage.
It's 2d4 sonic damage at most once / round which is only if they're not attacking. The AB bonus also does not stack with any other AB buff (Bless, aid, divine favor)
My suggestion is that the paladin should be able to use the perk to heal once per round as well, rather than wait till the effects fade after so many rounds.
I am not asking war screamer to be changed, just crusader's zeal to be adjusted to be somewhat similar. Adding some bonuses against evil would not be a bad idea.
I agree on the original suggestion. :)
Having seen this in effect a few times, I'd argue that especially with the prevalence of Undead on EfU:A, it's a perk that's actually less useful than what it overrides.
Yes, I read through the Crusaders Zeal perk and actually reckoned it worse than default turn undead...
Lion's heart, Man of Faith, both very weak compared to other perks.
Lion's heart is the only one i've found 'useful' in my ascertations, and it's still very weak, compared to a few other obvious ones.
I'm all for these perks, i think they are the holiest thing since sliced bread, just would suggest balancing them a little.
