Title: Good Old Games
Post by: GoblinSapper on October 28, 2010, 06:18:51 AM
NWN is for sale on Good Old Games now, just thought some folks might like to know. We may see an influx of fresh blood from this.

Who plays NWN anymore? T_T I thought the new fad was HALO3, L4D, COD:MW2, and Tetris.

That seems a moot point, given GOG caters to the classic PC games of yore, and does very well out of it.

I don't think the age of NWN is as big a deal as it could be simply because no newer game provides a real substitute for it.  If a new game came out with a similar PW potential, then there might be a different result.

Also, GOG.com is an excellent site.  I picked up both original Fallouts and the Incredible Machine pack there for a total of about 20 bucks.

Can't beat that.

This also marks a really good time to start recruiting people for EFU, seeing as they can get in and get going for 10$ and a...

5 gigabyte download.

Buy this. Buy this now. One of the greatest games of my childhood. Massively unforgiving platformer. IMO the portal of it's age. Not very long, but did something pretty damn different. It was all about story and setting a scene. Everything was one hit kills and you had to do everything just right. But dear god. So much fun.

Also.

Chances are, if anyone is just now discovering NWN, they are even more computer illiterate than I am. Only took me about 3 years to figure out I could play online with other players.

Cluckyx, I got that game as you said and i'ts pretty cool.
It is almost a replica of 'Heart of Darkness' Which i'm sure you would enjoy. I would advise you play that game if you like this one.
