I don't think this test is without flaw or anything, nor am I looking to discuss it or any other political debates here, I am merely curious to see where efu folks stand. Of course if you want to do either, feel free.

I kind of figured that I would come up as the biggest left-winger here, but I'm a bit surprised at how many of you are registering as conservatives on the social scale.

Econ: -5.88, Social: -6.46.

Brittany is the first person I've ever heard of to come up as a pure centrist on this test.

I'm shocked more than any of you that I came up as a pure centrist, since I generally identify as economically 'right'. Though Authoritarian versus Libertarian I'm about dead center.

I'm somewhat surprised I'm not more right, but as for authoritarian/libertarian this is spot on for me.

I don't know about anyone else, but a lot of those questions were poorly worded or not nearly specific enough. A neutral answer choice should have been provided.

I didn't really like these questions because they were just one or two words off how I really felt. Like, "The prime function of schooling should be to equip the future generation to find jobs." If it said equip them to progress scientific knowledge I would've strongly agreed, but to find jobs is eh. Given that we're currently progressing science faster than ever, keeping the status quo might be what I want? But it's not clear.

Yeah, the questions were poorly worded. Some concerned simple facts, and you could only answer one way if you knew the answer no matter what you thought about it. And then there's stuff like "All authority should be questioned" which is a no-brainer, but says nothing about what to do after that initial questioning. Fun stuff anyway.

I'm a bit surprised, because I've always figured I'm very authoritarian. I'm extremely critical of the practice of authority, granted, but the idea of social control that's justified by nothing than itself is quite alright with me.
