Title: Sharboneth Dialogue
Post by: Gippy on November 24, 2009, 11:25:51 PM
Over the next few days I'm going to heavily update the module to reflect changes that have been made over the last two months. There are still many NPCs that have not been updated, especially their dialogue, to reflect the new changes. I am asking for the assistance of the playerbase to report dialogue that does not make any sense anymore. Feel free to just list the NPC's with poor dialogue and their locations here. Other things that don't make sense anymore can be posted here as well. Do not comment on other peoples contributions. Heavy contributors will have my appreciation which is a good thing to have.

An example would be:

QuoteFredoc Hedger, Island - Colony - Ziggurat - Mythallar, standing infront of the Mythallar. References Zakarias as Governor

It would also be a good idea to point out (Concisely!) why it does not make sense. Above example amended.

There's several NPCs at Castle Blackhearth who still mention Martyn as if he's alive.

Ragged Black Swordsman:
"This is the great Castle Blackhearth, seat of Martyn Greywood. If you've no business, be upon your business."
"Lord Greywood is away. Perhaps ask for him about the Colony."

(You also have the option to ask him) "I've to speak to Lord Greywood."

Impoverished Commoner:
Lord Greywood will take care of us!"

In the New Arrival's Tower there are three things amiss:

The "Notice of Welcome" sign credits House Sharboneth.

The "Charity Chest" mentions Sharboneth in it's description.

And the "Rest for the Weary" sign also credits Sharboneth.

Outside the Colony Citadel:

The Bounty sign declares a bounty on Seekers, on behalf of House Sharboneth.

When talking to Nduru Masi, atop the Ziggurat:

Asking "What can you tell me about this place?" will yield an answer about the Sharboneth Colony.

When talking to Zyphaem Faussad, Mythallar Chamber:

Asking "Where are we?" will yield an answer that involves House Sharboneth.

Also in the same chamber, there is a sign telling you to take care of your civilian registration at the Governor's tower.

When talking to Kingsman, Kingsman's Inn:

Asking "Anything about the Stygian Armada?" will tell you they were hired recently by Sharboneth.

Asking "What can you tell me of the local goverment?" will tell you about the Sharboneth again.

And asking "Who are the Sharboneth?" will of course tell you about them too.

Sidenote: I do not have a Patrician character so I cannot check, but I am certain Vasard credits House Sharboneth for free resting, or used to if that has already been corrected.

Clerk Emiliano de Servantilley, Guild Registration Office:

Altough minor, when asking "What are the services offered to Patricians?" he mentions the possibility for the Governor to invite them to his Court.

The Guildhouse guards still have the dialogs of Sharboneth Armsmen and the guldhouse guard outside th e thayan enclave has a uniform.

Inside the market place behind the Ortred Statue is a NPC Armsmen still manning his post. Also the colonists around say "Im not sure the governor is doing whats best for us......." There is no longer a governor. I think thats pretty much it.

Inside the Shrouded Islandes Syndicate Library:

The dwarf Tiril Keyquarry carries a Sharboneth mail, and it is also mentioned in his description.

Izmael Sar-Ahan, Clay Pot Merchant upon the Ziggurat:

After persuading him for some information, you can ask "What can you tell about the colony?". This will in turn lead to a conversation where your next reply involves the Governor. I believe the word Governor could simply be replaced by Duke, and the matter should be settled here.

The dialogue with the guild registration officer isn't entirely out of sync, but doesn't seem to have changed since before the Ixpadian plot, and still talks of civil service for two weeks as an option to become a patrician. I am assuming that it is outdated.
