Post by: KershofSetic on November 18, 2009, 04:56:21 AM
If it's not to hard could our bank accounts be added to EFUSL?

Some of them are on there already.  Though...I don't know if players can see those.  I also haven't bothered with looking at what the new banks are labeled so those are invisible to everyone at the moment I think.  :S

Ah, I'd like to see this as well >,>. For players and DMs being able to view bank accounts attached to characters, that is.

Like most of the other information on efusl, yes.

I don't see anything wrong with having such information available, if it can be made available easily.

it's wrong because why can't someone just check their bank account instead. don't see why put effort to other means to do something already simple, i mean i don't ask god to let me breathe out of my asshole

Because it's apparently as easy as clicking a box so normal users see the information as DMs already can. That's what was said in IRC at least.

By that "logic", derflaro, maybe we shouldn't have had EFUSL in the first place? However, most agree it's a nice little tool.

Really, nothing wrong with this suggestion, and I don't know why you seem to attack it so aggressively when it seems it can be so easily implemented.

i'm under the impression it was a tool for some dm stuff that doesn't need to be as common and was adjusted to some player use also. i however don't think it needs to be adjusted into some sort of dbz scanner for all players to check their chars at work or something

We should have a scouter like Vegeta that lets us see other peoples levels along with a feature that lets you hide your levels and then power up to show your true level.

QuoteVEGETA, WHAT DOES THE SCOUTER SAY ABOUT HIS POWER LEVEL?

IT'S OVER NINE THOUSSSSAAAAANNNNND!!!

WHAT, NINE THOUSAND?

 - Ahem. Couldn't resist.

But really, It might not "need" to be adjusted, but it could be a cool feature to add to the development list. And if it's as easy as Kershof says, then there's no real harm in it, is there?

Most of the adjustments on this server aren't "needed", but people enjoy them nonetheless. No need to attack it so harshly.

obviously it wouldn't be bad, but it would be simply be better to put effort into actually worthwhile things as opposed to reminding someone a number. maybe something actually in the game we're playing?

Can you conceive of something with the same or more usefulness to the setting that could be implemented in the five minutes it would take to add this?

Yes, maybe a DM possessing an NPC, doing something amusing that produces worthwhile entertainment actually inside of the game. That can make someone's day, or even a group of people, which I firmly believe is easily worth far more.

Furthermore, never before has someone thought "Oh god, I forgot how much is in my bank account-- oh wait let me check EFUSL! Phew, I saved ten seconds looking at a web page instead of logging on and actually playing the game," except in the fantasies of trolls and looking for convenient material, unfortunately.

If the contents of your bank bothers you that much, I am positive you are capable to put forth the effort to remember. I think the five minutes + you spent trying to argue otherwise is hardly, if at all productive in comparison.
