Title: Mark fishing spots with placeables
Post by: Egon the Monkey on September 23, 2009, 11:41:58 AM
I have never found any fishing spots, as there seems no way to see where you're able to fish. It would be a lot easier for people to actually take up fishing if there were placeables saying "fish swarm about in the water here" or something near areas you can fish in.

There's a small fish pool placeable, dunno if it's used already to mark fishing spots. Could be handy for the SIMs players that like to fish.

I've been lucky enough to find one pond and caught me an awesome little ooze. And yeah, it was a random transition.

I've found a random with a Stargarzer Fisher, but I could find nowhere in it where I could actually fish.

Just walk around the pond, I think it was marked by a few puddles of water near that stargazer.

I'll lend my vocal support to this suggestion, but don't expect me to actually do anything about it.

Fishing.. Ugh I have never liked this. Why not go kill a dragon or a tribe of orcs, just like a real adventurer.

Because sometimes you are fucking poor and need something to do and feel some sense of accomplishment. Have you traveled the wilds at all at any point? Just walking out there for more than a few mins can be as challenging as a quest.

Sorry if not everyone wants to sit in front of Kingsman's and wait for the next Quest train to start.

There are fishing spots scattered around. Some of them don't let you fish so there's a selected few areas you can do so.

If some of them don't let you fish, I would hardly call them fishing spots.

Ofcourse i have. I have been hunting Mist ogres for no other raeson than fun. Now thats what NWN is about imo. slaying monsters and becomming a hero. Not catching a big trout. If you want to fish there are plenty of fishing games out there.
Maybe im just old and grumpy I dont know. But once that is said, yes it would make sense to have fishing spots clearly marked.

Due to the rather limited places where fishing can be done, something may be done to reveal them in the future. Some of them. Remain alert, attentive fishermen.

fishing is a waiting game.
