Title: New Banner Update
Post by: Egon the Monkey on August 05, 2009, 10:59:04 PM
This looks to be really cool. Faction bank accounts especially, as there's not the problem (as happened with Proverson) that a leader dies and the faction goes broke and splits up. Providing there's a way to secure it against a member simply cleaning it out and denying it.

The actual presence of resources also looks to be cool, if a faction is then able to hoard them up for a project, like the Dwarf hold, and rather than needing to scrounge up huge amounts of gold, can provide the resources instead by making territory clearing runs, and only pay for the workers.

Sounds cool: sabotaging ressources will lead to guards not being paid if i get it right... hum... sounds fun.

You can always brainstorm and see what you would like to be able to do as part of politics.

Awesome update. I can recall one instance when I actually saw the figures from the current setup, and I had no idea what the hell they meant.

I hope that factions that do not use the IG guildhouse function are still able to use these resources.

I also hope that the means of acquiring resources is diversified and expanded.

Lastly, this sentence: "A global revenue will be generated based on tax..." is a little confusing. What does this mean?

I hope stuff like this will actually turn out to be possible.

Specifically, that you do not have to be in a majorly-present banner to provide a significant positive or negative effect to the gathering of resources, along the lines of poisoning the water supply.

Should be damn intresting, but I beleive it will need some more explanation when the time comes.

Also, given that resources will now potentially be fought over, it may require more DM involvement as there's combat over control of resources.

More guard action at least, we want our damn pay and we'll fight tooth and nail for it! Love it, could be a lot more confrontation between the lawful and criminal elements.
