Because it would be cool, considering how much wildshape got buffed and tweaked.
Specificaly, I'd like to see a Polymorph shape with Sneak Attack, and Polymorph: Chicken, as well as a few playerrace shapes. Up the battle use AND RP potential.

What i'd like to see even more is banfefull polymorph. I assume, that will not happen either?

There is no spell suitable for becoming Baleful Polymorph, and the only clean way to add new spells is with haks.

i think it is good enough and some shapes have amazing combat potential anyways
