I know certain spells can't be converted into potions directly, but could it be possible to make 'grenade' like objects for those spells that can't be turned into potions.
For example, there are traps that cause paralysis (stun), why not have the craft potion feat create a grenade object instead that does the same as a stun trap instead of a 'hold person' potion.
I suppose the item in the inventory would LOOK like a potion. I know you can craft bolts using the craft weapon skill and that bolts can have the onHit - Stun feature. Maybe we can modify the brew potion for Hold person and Darkness to create a tossable, grenade-like object. Perhaps merge the attributes for a Stun trap with those of a potion or caltrops?
I'm no scripter, so maybe this sounds crazy to those of you who are, but I figured it might be a way around it so that more spells have the ability to be turned into potions.

I think that the purpose of having a craft wand feat was partly because you're not supposed to be able to make every spell into a potion.

The craft wand feat gives a person the person the ability to make wands with 25 charges of said spell, where as a potion or grenade object has a single use and then it's gone. Wands are by far cheaper as far as price per use goes, but the total price is still way high.
A single Cats grace potion costs over a hundred coins, a wand of that costs like 1300 and gives you 25 uses of it. To buy 25 potions would cost way more than that.
But not everyone A.) needs 25 chages of a spell or B.) can afford thousands of coins per wand.
So having a grenade object that costs maybe 60-120 per object is reasonable and accessible to even lower, poorer level characters.
Heck, maybe they can just include grenade objects that invoke spells like them in the module.

True that. I guess the last devil's advocate thing I have to reply with for that is, "But brew potion is not meant to be an offensive type of feat as well, you're supposed to have to take craft wand for that."
On the other hand, it would be pretty neat to see players able to make throwable grenade-type weapons, I suppose.

And then suddenly everyone is loaded with 25use spell items without Classes or UMD to use them. No don't like it. I happen to like how expensive offensive wands are. It makes buying one worth thinking about first, rather than everyone having a fireball wand.

Not a big fan of the idea. the idea of potions and wands meant that you couldn't get every spell affect you wanted, otherwise it means there isn't much point to having so many different spellcasters, since any spell effect can be obtained via potion or in the form of a gernade like item.

I agree with Fish.
However, if it's a popular desire and the DM team feel crazy enough to implement it, then I certainly hope it will be something that a PC or five work toward in-game, rather than something that's just dropped into merchant inventories on the next reset. If it's an IG thing, I think I could handle it. After all, such items wouldn't be the first that an ambitious and innovative PC 'invented.'

i really thought of making it more expensive then potion, and less effective the original spell.
color spray, for example will be used for a random, instead of the chosen, direction, giving a cahnce for no effect (lack of focus on target), or even using on yourself, (gets pretty serious, if your'e not protected).
or darkness, goues of 1-2 round MAX, perhaps even 3-5 turns
you know, soemthing REALLY short, or not that effective. just enough to do a thing or two. also, the color spray, for example gets weakend lvl spell. there are ways to make it weaker, and usuable.

Its difficult, given the few choices you have in the toolset to make spells last for.

In response to the comment above about having anyone use potions or grenade like items, I think that, they're right. This would cause a balance issue here.

There are things like dispel-grenades (area of effect dispel)/laughing gas/few other things, otherwise as others mentioned wands are the thing to get.

We already have custom grenade-like weapons using different spells. However, that won't be incorporated into brew potion. That is not what potion brewing is supposed to be about.
