*A sealed letter is sent to the Council*

Due to an unfortunate series of events, I found myself in the Pyrimo Inn and met with Intryzz. The Illithid asked me if I would wish to meet "The Councillor". I followed his directions further into the Inn and found there former Councillor Nogueyra. She has been enthralled by Intryzz and retains none of her former personality or abilities to control her own mind or body.

We should keep in mind that Intryzz now knows more of Sanctuary than we should prefer. Actions should be taken to ensure that the required changes be made to our defences.

I will also be issuing an order to my fellow agents to conduct a probing of my mind to ensure I have not been affected by the Illithid.

The letter is received by the Office of the Herald.

*a copy of the previous letter is sent with this new letter*

Councillors,

I would inquire as to what measures are being taken by the Council to assure that something like this does not happen again, as well as what is being done to ensure that whatever information that was passed over to the Illithid will be useless should he attempt to make use of it. In addition, I would have you concider having the current Councillors come to the Tower for a mind probe to ensure that no other Councillor has been affected by the Illithid or any other mind controlling creature.

I also wish to notify the Council that I will be making an excursion into the Canal District with some capable men to remove what appears to be another foothold on behalf of the Illithid Intryzz. If the Council has any objections to this, you have one(1) day to forward your objections to me at the Tower.

The Council doubts there is any grave risk in the loss of Nogueyra. She was unfamiliar with the defense of the Upper Wards, and entirely unfamiliar with the current defense (or lack thereof) of the Lower Wards.

Nor are we aware of any method of preventing Councilor's being captured or entranced by illithids. Perhaps you can work with the Zealots to determine one, but currently we're unaware of how Nogueyra fell into this monster's grasp in the first place beyond the obvious statement that she was weak-willed and likely driven mad by syphilis.

Please provide us with greater details on the threat and what you learn from the planned engagement in the canals. The Council will look favorably on progress by your organization against the aberrant monsters that the Society manages to fight only by destroying large portions of the city.

In Regards,

Sir Dungal Toboerski Grand Magistrate of the Toboerski Knights Councilor *in especially loopy handwriting* Official Key Holder
