Letter to Lockwood

I have considered the Watch. I may be inclined to look into ways to increase their presence in Lower due to recent events.

There is still corrupt elements in the Watch, and I will still want them rooted out. It will occur.

Those with wisdom will quell the gain sayers opposing me openly by hook or crook. The formation of a Lower Watch, coupled with an increase to the prestige of the Watch itself will require the apperance of neutrality in politics or it will cost allies on the Council who I expect will win election and favor a plan I am developing that will please the Watch and Spellguard both.

I still await the recantation and the admittal that "errors were made". I can assure you, three Councilors will support a new plan after the election; and it will only take convincing of two others to formalize it. Cooperation from the Council will be obtained by cooperation from the Watch's more derelict officers.

The "pie" as you put it, is not something my allies seek. You are welcome to give the entire thing to your organization. A new, better opprotunity has been presented to the rest of us.

I have done what I can, should you win your election, I'd be happy to come forward and public state that I am a monkey if you wish. I do not really care.

I am interested in pushing things forward and this back and forth does nothing to help either of our agendas. A meeting was held and it was decided that the public statements would stop, unfortunately Sergeant Durris left before this was established and I do not have the rank to question him about it.

Marshall had a number of requests from you, of which we should speak when you have a moment. As for this new oportunity, you peek my curiousity.
