A copy of the letter is posted to the boards around the upper city, at the Rock Bottom, and in the market - another in the Town Hall itself
Herald Jafar,I realise that the Dwarf Thane Akevitt stands for the Council to Sanctuary. As you are undoubtedly aware, he is Thane to the Stouts - whose holdings lie outside our city. He is, therefore, not truely a part of the city, any more than the foreman of the Duerger mine is.
I would ask that he be struck from the electoral record and, should you not feel this needed, you explain why foreigners should sit on the council of our city and dictate laws to us they do not follow.

*an attached piece of paper is put on several of the notices*
well lass since a lot of the population are escaped slaves who arent origonaly from sanctuary it could be argued that they shouldnae be allowed ta vote but they are. Also as long as someone holds a citizen stone they be classed as a member of sanctuary regardless of where there holdings are. so i suggest ye be gettin yer facts right before accusing a fellow dwarf of somethin

*written underneath that*
aye techniccly they can but i doubt yell be seeing a lillithid walkin inta town hall and askin fer one and if he be given one that be the down tae the descretion of the persont that be given them oot and i dinnae see many people handin one tae a lillithid or a drow. Also i think yell find that while the clan hall be in the mines most members of the stouts be having there living quaters in sanctuary as well as spendin most of there time there as well.

From the Office of the Herald
The dwarf Akevitt Anvilsmasher possesses a citizen stone of Sanctuary and has a long-standing relationship with the town. Multiple witnesses, including Spencer of the Rock Bottom, have testified that he is not a stranger to our community and is thus eligible to stand to be elected to the Sanctuary Town Council according to the present regulations regarding eligibility. Any further notices arguing otherwise will be removed by the on-duty Watch Private.
