Letter to Seekers

Seeker Establishment;

Despite the activity of your rogue member Riago Oakhill, and your lack of concern about his illegal activities-I still maintain a measure of respect for your organization based on its bravery and courage.

I have recently come into possession of a key that opens a number of doors it appears in the Dunwarren ruins. It was obtained from a Dunwarren Rat lair that I obliterated.

I wish to turn the key in to the Seekers immediately to help you further your exploration of the city, and as a preliminary gesture of goodwill that I hope to continue after the dual victories of House Toboerski at the election. I am loathe to ask for anything in return, but if your order sees fit to provide me with the location of any Rat lairs populated by the 'chosen' I shall be pleased to eliminate them for you and nothing more.

In Regards,

Sir Toboerski

*A letter containing the Seal of the Seekers is left at House Toberski for Sir Toberski. The letter looks as if it contained hesitation marks within sections of the paragraphs.*

Sir Toboerski,

As you know, we Seekers are interested in all aspects and items that could assist us with furthering our exploration and finding our way to the surface. As such, it is our obligation to investigate every potential route to the surface. Seeker Riago Oakhill knew this obligation well. Your House claims it knows the way out of here, so you can expect much more inquiries from the Seekers into the truthfulness of this accusation.

Nonetheless, I do recognize your attempt to bridge the differences between our organizations. Please stop by the Seeker Hall when you are able. We would be interested in taking a look at this key.

*Signed*

Kor'us Corcael, Seeker

I am afraid the Seeker response came too slow. The Spellguard has demanded the key and issued a warrant for my arrest since I failed to give it to them before the key was turned over to the Council to deliberate its fate.

I still prefer to see it given to the Seekers. It is my hope the over-reaction and posturing of the Spellguard will not prevent this from happening.

As for the route to the surface my family knows, we did travel to the Underdark from Cormyr. Our route took years, while some guides and information can be granted to those who desire it; I can only reiterate time and time again that the route is excedingly dangerous, likely no longer passable, and liable only to result in the death of those who attempt it without the strength it'll require.

I shall still of course be happy to allow the Seekers to see this key, it is perhaps less impressive than some currently being sought by many in the city; but it can be viewed at my cousin's estate. Due to this ridiculous warrant and my desire to not be forced into harming any Agent conducting an illegal arrest attempt, I am remaining either within my own home or protecting the Canal Gates until the more irrational elements of the Spellguard are called to order.

In Regards,

Sir Dungal Toboerski
