[A report to the Council]

Councilors,

I am Sir Mormont Baelister, of the Archibald Guard. I am the man responsible for the return of these children to Sanctuary, under my command; Ordinant Lathae, Seeker Meet who supervised the operation officially, and Gorgen were present to spare their blades.

Originally, we were only to be a scouting expedition to probe their defenses and determine more of their condition. However, when learned that their guard was low, the presence of torture devices and few guards on the port, I ordered an assault.

We travelled by boat to Noctuvir Isle, off the Drow port of Traensyr. We battled our way to the top of the island where we were forced to conceal ourselves and enter the boat under invisibility. A dozen or so drow remained inside as crew or guard, with several torture devices for the children. We slew all the Drow within and forced their Wizard into retreat. We were later attacked by his magics as we cast away.

Fire broke out which we contained. I bid Seeker Meet to sail towards the Duergar Farm near the canal so we could dock and escort the children to Upper. However, the Boat operated by mechanical means and we were forced through the canal for reasons I am unsure. We battled for our lives against the fey inside. We survived through our supplies exausted. It was then we crashed into the canal ward, no children died.

We arrived and I sought to bring the children to Upper to my Lord's estate where they'd have some food and security. Another un-named man in hood offered solace at the House of Light, which I first obliged him until Ordinant Lathae bid me not to trust him. Nearly all of the children followed myself and Seeker Meet to the Archibald House, though many remained behind, lost and confused. Many folk still seek to bring them to Upper.

They all remain under our proection now, food and clothing will be provided one way or another.

I am having my men begin to work already on a charity program to gather coin for their welfare and another to establish a forum where the children might be adopted by trusting folk.

These men, Ordinant Laramie Lathae, Seeker Phillip Meet and Gorgen should be commended and congratulated on their bravery and honor. They are men who do Sanctuary proud amongst so many men I am loathe to trust.

Signed,

Sir Mormont Baelister
