Akevitt Anvilsmasher for Council
Akevitt Anvilsmasher Demands Drow are Banned from Sanctuary!
It sounds good, it gets your attention--but what is the truth?
Akevitt Anvilsmasher is a "white druegar"-a goodly dwarf that has sold out to his evil kin. He lives outside Sanctuary in a Druegar Built Hall. He works beside slave keepers, greedy murderers, and evil races.
Akevitt Anvilsmasher has allowed his dwarven kin to 'quell riots' in Lower Sanctuary. Their method to quell your struggle for freedom from Druegar Mercenaries--crushing skulls beneath hammers.
Akevitt Anvilsmasher, a "white druegar" looking to return the Druegar to Lower. He wants the Drow Banned because they're competitors in the Slave Trade.

This is absolutely nothing but slander of a candidate. There is no proof at all of him being a "white duergar," and no explination of what a "white duergar is," as Akevitt is certainly not white in color. I am shamed to live in a city where such wild mudslinging takes place.

Let it be known:
Today Akevitt Anvilsmasher slandered House Archibald, insulting its members, and its actions. He then refused to participate in a duel of honour, when Captain Mormont Baelister defended House Archibalds name. After realizing he must back his slander up with action, Anvilsmasher agreed to a duel.
Captain Baelister defeated him, without a single blow being landed upon his person. Anvilsmasher was spared, but ponder if this is the sort of man you desire. One who speaks harsh words, but lacks the desire, or ability to back them up with action. Do we truly need another big talker on the Council, who fails to act?

You also fail to mention that while dispel magic was used on Akivitte before the duel, only a lesser version was used on Morment, meaning any spells used to aid him beforehand could still be in effect. As someone who has seen both of them fight, I could easily tell this, and I have even confirmed this suspition with other spectators. Perhaps before you brag about defeating someone in an honourble duel, you duel honourble with them first.
As for the Duregar concept, the idea is laughable. You also seem to forget that while Duregar aren't liked, they are still tolarated in the city, for one, the majoirty of Sanctuarys funds reside in a Duregar bank, not to mention the majoirty of weapons and armour are purchased from them. At least Akivitte intends to realese us from their grasp somewhat by offering to mine ore for the town, so that we may deal in metal without associating with the Duregar.
And one last thing Dung-hole. For one who seems to hate drow so much, you seem to act like them so much, your attitude of "I was born rich, so I'm better" is similer to that of drow slave traders.

Both Duelists were dispelled equally. First with a lower form, then with a larger form, which covered the area as a whole. I have no trouble with citizens speaking their mind, but I do ask that you not lie.
As for believing I am better than the common person- I suppose that is why I have opened my own Estate to hundreds of them, to live, sleep, and eat in.

If you don't count yourself a coward then you will leave your name for me at House Archibald so that I might answer your insult in the arena. If you would fear for your life then I will ensure that several mages and priests of various faiths be present to dispel whatever "spells" were enchanting me so that you might place your cravenous tendencies behind yourself.
Fail to leave your name as so many other cowards seem to favor on this notice, then we shall all know you to be a man of no mettle who's words weigh less than the parchment he cowers behind.
No man insults my Honor, nor does he insult House Archibald.

There is a differnce between cowardice and stupidity, to fight against someone I beleive to be a dishonouble cur and cheater is the latter.

*Pvt. Lockwood can be seen telling "Captain" Baelister in a most condesending way that there is no law against slander because of protection of free speech and to grow up and worry about more important things then the bickering of school children.*

to all men who leave slander to ruin the name of others and hide in the shadows, you shame yourselfs by these acts and if those who would try to shame my Thane would show them selfs then perhaps others will listen, unsgined letters and hideing in the shadows are the acts of cowards, come fourth and speak or hold your peace.
