Councilor,
Perhaps I will be mistaken, but I believe that Toboerski will soon seek to stop the contracted Grunstubhle from rebuilding the upper gate. I ask you to consider what kind of man would play politics at a time when we should be ensuring the safety of the citizens of our city? He had months to enact his own plan and did nothing. This from a man who proclaims himself a hero of the people, when in fact his leadership in lower lead to the deaths of many innocent women and children, who continue to die even today. The watch has taken it upon themselves to handle the reconstruction, we have word that it will take no longer then three days. I ask that any attempt made to stop the gate from being built now be considered nothing less then willful endangerment of our city.

I see no reason why both the Watch and House Toboerski should not be allowed to pursue rebuilding the gate, if they so wish. Our city was left vulnerable precisely because we did not have a spare gate in storage; whomever finishes their efforts second can supply this spare. I am disheartened to know that this recent fervor for rebuilding the gate has led to further conflicts between the Watch and the Toboerski family, where by rights it should be bringing you two closer together.
I will be responding to a similar letter that I received from that family to express my disappointment at this, and strongly discourage any efforts on his part to undermine the Watch's reconstruction of the gate -- while not discouraging him from pursuing the construction of the gate, or a spare, on his own.
Regarding quality, as the Council discussed long ago, any gate would need to be evaluated by the Watch and Spellguard to ensure that it is of good quality and durability before the final stage of construction begins and it is installed.
