[A letter delivered at the Bhast estate]

Honourable Councillor Bhast,

It is my wish to establish within the town a library, created by the citizens and adventurers of Sanctuary, to preserve city lore. This library's halls would be filled with blanks books, upon which an individual would be able to record his own sum of knowledge.

This library, I hope, will gather a collection of geographical and ethological lore, alongside information of the Underdark, its sentient races and dangers in general, all for the benefit of the all for the benefit of the town.

A record and description of magical items found in the Underdark could also be kept. It would in addition allow individuals to keep a record of their own life and family to preserve and pass on to future generations, and for various factions access to reports gathered by citizens without consuming the valuable time of their agents.

An establishment such as this, I believe, would benefit the town in several ways. A servant of one of the gods who does not have an established church within the city would be able to preserve records for the future, to offer one example. It would allow the city to keep track of various events that may occur outside its borders and the watchful gaze of its guardians, and allow us to better learn the lessons of our history. A town such as ours, permanently threatened by a hostile land, cannot afford to deny itself such a valuable weapon as knowledge.

You are well known for your support of such projects for the benefit of the town, and with the unfortunate events in the lower wards and the unknown fate of the House of Light, I would like to offer you another opportunity to commemorate your family name, one that will hopefully not suffer a similar fate.

Any who contributes to this project will have their names commemorated in some manner.

I have already presented this project to Councillor Tyrell, and she has already expressed her interest in it. It is my hope that I will have your support as well.

Any reply may be delivered to the Rock Bottom inn.

[ The letter is resent]

I will of course donate as well as offer my support to the project through the Council.

Councilor Bhast

//You guys have got the NPC support you need, with projects of this kind it's much better to work to involve other PCs than it is to involve NPCs. I'd love to see the general PC population kept informed of this idea and have a chance to join in to help out.
