Inappropriate Deity for Druid - Shar?

Was looking into creating an evil druid of Shar. Shar does have an extensive portfolio including underdark, night, caverns etc So it did strike me as appropriate for an evil underdark druid. Could I get any insight into why this is inappropriate? or possibly a solution? I don't wish to play a character that is disallowed but I took a while setting up and figuring out my concept for my character

Shar has always struck us a more of a darkness, scheming bitch-goddess. Druid deities are usually enamored of a particular aspect of nature. Shar isn't - the only reason she's got the cavern domain was because she's an opportunist whore who killed Ibrandul 'cause she could.

Seems like a cleric of shar would be more appropriate. Though please, hop in IRC and or send us an email about the character, and we can work with you.

Shar has contempt for all living things, including, but not limited to, nature. Hence, she is not a nature deity, and thus not available for druids.

True about the contempt for living. but there are evil druids of disease.. those anti-druid things which burn down forests etc. I pictured it more the fact that it would be a druid focusing more on the murderous/ vile creatures of the underdark.. which would kill enough to appease her. Though she hates all living things she doesn't seem to prefer undead

Her primary corporeal forces are shadow creatures, which are indeed undead.

Some sort of hermit cleric or barbarian who worshipped Shar and hatefully stalked through the darkness of the Underdark and was very uncivilized could certainly work, but druids have a connection with nature that Shar very much would not be able to grant.

Metro_Pack Her primary corporeal forces are shadow creatures, which are indeed undead.

Technically, Metro, shadow creatures are incorporeal.

Just so you know. Ya know.
