Dear Spellguard,

I want to bring to your attention a worrying gnome near the main gates of sanctuary. Hes to the left as you go up, then right and up the hills on your left.

This gnome claims to have constructed a magical means of travelling to lower sanctuary. However I am concerned that it might not be as safe as the current road. He even admits it would take you "within a day" of lower sanctuary at the most.

He claims he has not had any complaints, and this worries me even more.

I would hope you evaluate this gnome and his construction and whether he is indeed suitable to offering this service. I'd hate to think hes killing innocent citizens.

The august Operative Kyros Miller IV boldly strides out of Tower Spellguard and graces the stairwell up to the Sanctuary Gate with his presence. Once more glancing at the anonymous missive, he dons a pair of ornate spectacles and scans the horizon.

On the hill just overlooking the gate, the eyes of the energetic Burgey "Impatient" Blimth twitch excitedly. Out of the corner of his vision, he sees the balding figure of Operative Miller. Without a moment to lose, he speedily hops into his summoning circle, bandies a seven-syllable command word, and disappears in a spiral puff of smoke.

Operative Kyros Miller IV inclines his head at the noise, but continues his survey of the surrounding landscape in a dignified and stately fashion. Upon having completed his task, and quite satisfied with his own aptitude, he strolls back to Tower Spellguard and resumes his more mundane duties.
