Nostalgia: Game music

This is a cute site a friend of mine found. http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks.php

It features uploaded MP3s of many game soundtracks, which you can stream and download (though I have not figured out how to DL them yet). There does not seem to be any payment, sign-up, or adware/spyware.

Anyway, I found it really great to go back and listen to the tunes of my childhood: Zelda, Baldur's Gate, Age of Empires, Starcraft, etc. They don't have every game obviously, but they have -alot-, especially the mainstream games. Furthermore, some of the collections are incomplete. I was dissapointed by the Baldur's Gate collections, but what was there was good.

Have fun.

:D I finally found some Rhapsody: A Magical Adventure mp3s! THANK YOU GOD! http://d2.ffshrine.org/soundtracks/Rhapsody%20-%20A%20Musical%20Adventure/01._someday.mp3

The Planescape: Torment soundtrack makes me all nostalgic...

As good as the BG series were, I liked the plot, the characters and the setting of Torment immensely.

On a related matter, Machinae Supremacy is a great band, that has also created soundtracks for games. Their music reminds you of the old days and the arcade games, but they have spiced it up a notch with some rock-elements. I have used them a couple of times in my intro's to a LAN I'm organizing.

Also, they have a download section.

this is -very- sweet. and yeah, planescape, & fallout 2 <-- best ambiance.

I'm disappointed.

No Golden Axe Warrior. Sega Master System II.

I must have spent all my summer allowance on Golden Axe in the arcades.

lol i have to say that yeah i dabbled a bit in golden axe quite addictive from what i rember XD

Nah, I'm talking about the 'RPG' spinoff from the Goldex Axe seriers, 'Golden Axe Warrior':
