When I rest in the Rock Bottom, how come I get ~10-15 damage when I come out of the rest (as a "Someone damages you" message)? Is this a server feature I'm just going to have to get used to, or what?
Rest damage?
Ah no what it is..is like health rebate.
In nwn by default when you rest, you heal -All- damage.
Our resting system doesn't quite work like this, you heal d6+con modifier (someone correct me if that's wrong) but we can't implement that directly so what happens is...
You get healed the full ammount, and then have your health reduced to d6+con higher than what it was Before you rested. You recover Some health but not all of it.
I see. Makes sense I guess, but a pain at low levels. Oh well :D
Really like this server btw, great setting and people. It's so nice to be able to play for a while and not see any "lolol hax" :D
I think you heal 1 HP per level, or a bit more depending on if you're resting in an inn -- and moreover, what kind of an inn you're resting in. (Thanks to Arkov for making the resting place matter!)
Ah I see, my mistake. I knew it was a formulated ammount but I wasn't sure how specific it was. Either way, the rest still stands.
Also keep in mind that Arkov also implemented a different scale based on WHICH inn you stay in. So the Rock Bottom heals you more than the Crone because the Rock Bottom costs more (12gp vs 7gp)
djspectre Also keep in mind that Arkov also implemented a different scale based on WHICH inn you stay in. So the Rock Bottom heals you more than the Crone because the Rock Bottom costs more (12gp vs 7gp)...And provides more comfortable beds and cleaner rooms -Yeah, I dig that.

Anthee points you to something he I think you heal 1 HP per level, or a bit more depending on if you're resting in an inn -- and moreover, what kind of an inn you're resting in. (Thanks to Arkov for making the resting place matter!)
And thus we argue about how we agree.
