So, I'm openly advertising OOC for rp interaction with others IC. I'm looking for one or more individuals of any gender to have a in-game relationship with. Now, before it gets all silly, I should say that my Sunite is very much non-typical (so, forget the stereotypical stuff). She's a little vain, but she's a really interesting individual who is tolerable. I'd like to welcome advances from other characters who might have any of a variety of interests in her (from a crush, to something more base, to a true love thing, etc.). She won't be really awful about it, and it will lead to very interesting rp. So, feel free to approach her if you're interested.

Now, for the disclaimer. Please don't get overly involved in it, because it will probably just be good rp. She will return affection to some individuals, but I'm imagining more of a courtly love kind of a scenario (look it up). So, if you're interested, and you have a character that might appeal to her, please hit on her. ^^

A reminder that while relationships are fine, cybersex is not.

I'm not sure this is the kind of thing that you'd want to organize OOC on this forum.

If players choose to engage in these kinds of relationships in their RP between characters, please just keep it tasteful and remember our server guidelines.

Does anyone even know about courtly love? It's one of those, I love you but we can never be together things. Way back when, virginity, etc., was important. I'm so icked by the fact that anyone thought it would be really base and cybersex-like.

If forum-people feel this is really out of place...and it seems a lot like the looking for an evil master/mistress post, which worked out just fine...then please delete it...or let me know, and I'll edit/delete the message.

I'm simply playing a Sunite and am interested in more rp involving things might come before a Sunite character. Sorry if I have offended anyone's tastes...mostly.

Both LaBrea and myself weren't worried about your intentions, just posting a reminder to the playerbase at large about our policy regarding this issue. Honestly, it wasn't silly. Our server is non-passworded and open to the public, and there are large numbers of people out there who interpret RP to essentially mean engaging in cybor-sex. We try to make it clear at every opportunity that that kind of behavior is entirely unacceptable. From the perspective of a DM when we have to deal with it, it isn't funny it's just kind of gross.

Oh, it's okay. It just really is valid, and I wanted to do this OOC because the rp will be tasteful and playful, but at the same time I don't want to send the wrong idea to someone else through IC interaction. (like, I don't want random people thinking that I have a relationship with them because my character flirts with them) I felt it would be better to just let it be arranged rp with understood limits.

The cybersex thing would be utterly gross, and I'm sorry to have scared you. ^^

if we are already talking about... why not saying (deciding with the other player) that both the characters are doing what they do, without RPing it, when both players are offline. that way, we dont need to worry about the intimate relation of the two (means, we dont need to worry about sex), and we dont need to RP it as well.

I guess it comes down to this.

We (And I refer to the collaboration of Me, Myself and I here) feel that some acts are appropriate to do over the internet. Murder, torture, worshipping of dark gods, skinning of goblins, eating of toes...all good stuff.

Go ahead and do your relationships, or whatever. But be aware that, should you start creeping us out, we will let you know and probably ask you to stop, because you're fogging up our nerd-glasses.
