Letter to House Toboerski

Dear Sirs,

Myself and my four sons are the premier -human- smiths in Sanctuary, and we've the honor to have been contracted in the past to construct the gates that defend our town. As soon as we were informed of the upper gate's destruction we set to smithing a replacement, but unfortunately the duergar don't sell us the ore we need. I happen to know of a source of ore that would allow us to complete the gate, but it's in a very dangerous and abandoned mine shaft far from the city.

If you think you can help, please come by my forge at your convenience.

Mikkel Mikkelson

(This letter was quickly snatched up by Melrick and read with great enthusiasm. Melrick then writes the following note, and attaches Mikkel's note to his own.)

Sir Dungal,

This message has recently arrived, and I have already set out to meet with this Mikkel Mikkelson. I will turn my entire focus onto the gates, as of this moment, to finally secure them now that I have successfully found a forge. It seems that now we may be able to - FINALLY - strike down many bats with a single stone.

In loyal service, Aspirant Melrick

Mikkel Mikkelson,

Our Knights will not only help you locate a source of ore, but have ourselves located several since your original contact. We further have the coins immediately required to help you begin work on scaffolding and other necessary preliminary steps in the reconstruction and forging of these gates.

The City Council desires to see progress on this matter. You have our permission to begin making any necessary steps, and we will alert the city to your effort. I am honored to see humans restoring human's protection from monsters.

If you will be so kind, Lord Gregor desires to see some art consigned for the gates. Cost is unimportant, but we wish to see his visage crushing the skulls of drow under his boot.

Sir Dungal
