When you take this quest, you get an entry for the Poison Water quest in your journal plus the Relief Goods entry.

Also the guy who takes the goods only gives one dialogue entry when you give them to him.

"No I don't have them" IE you say you don't have the food delivery, and you fail the quest even if you have it.

I'll look into both tonight.

When I delivered the goods to the Crone, I told the guy I was here to deliver the goods and they disappeare from my inventory. Next he asked me if I really had them, which I could only respond "No, I must have lost them" or something similar.

The guy screwed me over!

Should be both fixed as of version 712.
