In lieu of the recent Tigereye mutiny and subseqent separation of Upper and Lower, I have made it my responsibility to tend to the number of guests in the House and the refugee camp in the far north corner of Lower.

I am no priest, but I will offer what I can in the way of comfort to the victims of this small civil war.

Amolef warned that this would be the first step in the actions of the tigereyes to take total control over lower sanctuary. The next step he said would be to blow up the staircase in lower sanctuary and then they shall turn to the house of light and destory it and its members were Amolef's words. My brothers and sisters be VERY careful but do not back down from our enemies. In two days, you are the only one I have heard from. I fear for the lives of the rest of our membership.

Additionally, I fear I have started a conflict between the House and the replacements of the Tigereyes, the Deep Sailors.

Their Captain, of which I still don't know his name, seems to believe that Lower, and its inhabitants, belong to him. He has openly expressed that the House has no purpose in Lower, as they feel they do not need any aid or assistance.

The conversation continued in a heated fashion, the details of wish I will not disclose in a letter.

Gloinar, of the Stoutheart clan was there with me as well and he didn't respond well to the threats. A fight would have ensued had the focus not been the checking for dead or wounded (read as - no DM was around otherwise there would have been a 6 way pvp in the crone)

A meeting is urgently needed. We also must find out the fates of the rest of the House membership.....this must be a top priority.

I have been lending aid where I can, though I have not seen any House members at all. You and Linda are the only two I know to be alive. Perhaps it is that some of our fellows were in Upper at the time of the collapsing of the staircase and do not know the route outside the city to the Canal Ward, and hence have no way of getting word to us. This I must hope for.

The house has been weakened. A new threat - the Deep Sailors - faces us now. They are trying to lay claim to Lower and its inhabitants. We are too weak to fight, but the Stouts have pledged to help us when needed. Perhaps with their help we can stop this threat before they become too strong a force.

We have only a few divine fighters left it seems and even fewer clergy. We must be strategic about what we do.

Your thoughts on this are appreciated.

Thank the gods you are alive Kara. The house has been overrun and taken by a band of gypsies. They seem to not have a taint, but we no longer have a home as the door is locked.

Yesterday was quite an interesting day. I was able to negotiate an uneasy truce with the current residents of the house. I exchanged my healing skills to the gypsies for the chance to continue my meditation before the image of Tyr. This seemed agreeable to them. The drawback is that I am to leave when they have their meetings and such.

There are two people I met, a man named William who is deeply hurt at the fact that his brother was slain by Linda and whoever else was with her, and a larger man named Winston who seemed much more reasonable and was the one with whom I conducted the negotiations.

William believes that Linda and her group were murderous fiends. A thought that obviously contradicts what we know about Linda. However, based on the fact that I felt no taint or malice on his soul, I believe that there was perhaps a severe miscommuncation and with the current tension state of Lower, that things simply exploded into a fight.

I don't trust much of what anyone in lower tells me, but at this point, we have little to go on other than this 'truce' I have arranged.

However, we have been asked to end our worship or aid when they need their privacy, of which I did not contest since, at this point, I consider partial access to the House a step in the right direction.

I know they will allow me access to the House, but I am unsure of other former members. So for the meantime, please do not put pressure on the men inside, quite yet. I believe that through political tact and a constant show of good faith on my part, I can perhaps win back the House through peaceful means.

I also believe that these men are of good heart since they seemed to be plotting against Julian Valerius, a known wicked man who runs the Crone.

I will send correspondence to William and Winston asking how we may be of help to them. But again, please let all correspondence with them go through me for the time.

On a related note, I am apparently a wanted man in lower, I was jumped, along with Gimli of the Stouts, by no less than 6 vile people, including a drow woman. Sadly, after the week of constant fighting, I was in no condition for such overwhelming numbers and was left for dead. The dwarf and I were forced from lower, but I have been stalwart in my resolve to remain in lower and get the house back.

So my warning is to tread extremely lightly while in Lower.

Lastly, I have heard rumors that Gabi is still alive. If either of you can confirm this, please let me know.
