well, i thought about it, and although some of my ideas are not as that good, i prefer saying them then keeping them inside.
i thought alot of trickery gods, and inspired by dragon lance, i thought: why not clerics with trickery domain (or gods allowing trickery), have a slight chacne ( 1 percent? more?), when casting a spell, to cast a random diffrent one, of the same spell lvl (or lower, up to you)
aside it could be really cool, and tricky as well, it would be very RP.
perhaps i meant some god of luck (the book i read long time ago)
tell me what you think,
dms, lock this if you dont like it/ hard to script

Would the god be wanting to trick his own followers?

I think things are just fine as they are. The system works really well-there's no need to mess with a finely-tuned machine.

Which is good.
But this is what Wild Magic is for. While a few of such areas could be pretty fun, I think incorporating something as nasty as Wild Magic might be a little too radical, as it can seriously ruin your day. I'm all for Dead and Anti-magic zones, however.

I guess you could incorporate this as some sort of weird miscast. Some being beneficial whist others ending up with the magical energies blowing up in your face. Just a thought

It's an interesting idea, but I think that it's more suited to things like wild magic, curses, and unstable items, than happening as a side-effect of the Trickery domain.

Have to agree, don't think your God would want to cast Hammer of the Gods instead of Cure Critical Wounds.

well, i was inspired by a the part in which the believers of that god prayed for him to save them, from a storm in the sea. he heard their prayer and granted them safty, in a fosaken island, as i recall :)

well, an evil god might would. :)
