(The letter has been left at the Rock Bottom, and is penned in a serious and professional, yet still friendly, tone.)
Greetings and good will Archivist Mylee Davenport,
I am writing this letter to inform you that I, Aspirant Knight Melrick of Sanctuary, have been given a leading role in aiding the reconstruction of our City Gates. It was a great pleasure to receive this mission, and through our brief discussion at the Rock Bottom I believe you are a capable person. I am highly interested in your plans, and would like you to work with me - too perhaps take a leading role as well - in rebuilding the gates. Your enthusiasm and expertise on this matter is greatly wanted.
Please, if you do not see me around the Rock Bottom leave a letter there for me. We must set a time and date to discuss things in detail and make preparations. Every day that our gate remains down is another day that the city is vulnerable, and that vulnerability is something that House Toboerski shall not tolerate.
Signed,
Aspirant Melrick of House Toboerski

Knight Aspirant Melrick,
I have sent correspondance to the dwarves of Tornbeard Hall, and they indeed have a smith capable of the work we are both after to both replace the gates and smith the braces. They do not, however, have a forge, and as such if we do not have access to one within the walls we will certainly need to build one. I do not beleive that the grey dwarves would allow us to use their forges. I think that beyond that, a forge within the walls would be a good addition to the city. Perhaps you could talk to scion Dungal Toboerski to see if his family might errect one if a suitable forge can not be found within the ruins.
I can not beleive that there are no forges within the walls, perhaps it is just because we have not found any yet in the ruins. There must be some, for the handiwork of gnomish metalworkers is all around us. I propose we organize a search of the ruin Houses, buildings, and all places accessable for such a place, for it will certianly aid the city once ore is found. The Dwarves have already stated they will labor for the city for no cost.
I hope that we may do these things quickly, and for the city.

Honorable Mylee Davenport,
I am glad that the Stouthearts have pledged their aid to this cause. I have uncovered a forge, and I may have found a supply of ore as well. The details are still being worked out, but I assure you House Toboerski is working as fast as we can.
I have labored tirelessly to find these things, and now success seems within reach. I will release the details to you as soon as I am able.
Sincerely in your debt,
Aspirant Knight Melrick of House Toboerski
OOC: We should be able to successfully have everything straightened out once we can get enough Knights online at once to do the DM quest. I'll let you know the time that has been chosen, so hopefully Mylee can travel along with us as well. (Although Melrick would have to check with Dungal first.) I'll have Melrick talk to you in game about all of this.
