A letter to Jarreck at the Tigereye compound

*delivered via Peter, in game*

Jarreck. Hi. If you actually think I did anything I’ve been accused of, I did not.

Do you remember when I recruited you, I told you something? I said the only way I would endorse you was if you promised to make lower a better place. The Tigers are plotting to conquer lower with the help of Valerius and his gang. What sort of place do you think lower will be then? I don’t think I will convince you to take a stand and quit, but I had to try. I’ll be frank and appeal to your sense of ethics. The Tigers really are the Broken Shields mercenaries. They fled their previous employers in disgrace and came here. Well they’ve been found and a group of grey dwarves have come to enact revenge. They’ll probably start off the weaker Tigers which frankly, includes you.

The Tigers, are evil. They are evil in the same way that Malar and Bane are evil. You can not be a Tigereye and keep your soul clean. Are you worried about dying tomorrow? Worry about what happens after that? Most of the Tigers are fated to end in the baator, the hells. You’ll be tortured for eternity. This is not an idle threat, ask any priest the fate of the dead. If you’re an evil bastard, you had better be GOOD at it and make some evil god very happy because the only way to avoid being tortured for eternity, is to make an evil bastard god happy enough that YOU get to torture others for eternity. I’m four times your age, a certifiable genius and a powerful wizard. I know these things. If you don’t believe me, go ask a priest of any not particularly evil god, a priest of the earth god would be good if you could find one. Any dwarven cleric would also likely be a good bet.

P.S. Tane and Wilks cut the eyes out of a member of the CDL who had done us no harm, because it was fun. They tortured him for hours, just because they could. I confronted Mordur about this. He approved of their actions and thought I was crazy for questioning it.
