I am aware that your time is very valuable, so I shall cut directly to the point of this letter, as to occupy as little of it as possible. I wish to express my sincere interest in aiding your organization in whichever way possible, and, should it appear as favourable, eventually join your ranks. Ever since I stumbled into this Sanctuary, I have been met by nothing but kindness and goodwill, and I would very much like to spend the rest of my days here in defence of the city, so that many more might be shown the same salvation that was shown to me. I am specialized in the arts of divination, and have spent a good deal of my life in the realms above as a thinker and scholar, and thus I am, I would like to think, fairly apt at solving the many kinds of problems that I reckon you face at a daily basis. Do not think me a man only of the mind, though; I am apt at many kinds of magic, and do not fear to face action, should it be required. In fact, since I got here, I have already lent my aid for the greater good of Sanctuary in many tasks both mundane and of more dangerous nature. Please understand that it is in no way my intention to boast in writing this, but rather as a small indication of how I might be useful to your organization, as well as a sign of my dedication to uphold the safety of the city. Of course, I do in no way expect you to trust my word alone on this matter, so I would, should you in any way be interested in my offer of help, like to meet with one of you to further discuss matters.

Finally, accept my apologies for being so straight-forward with this letter, but I sincerely believe that I can be of help to both your organization, and the city’s safely, and would dearly like an opportunity to do this beyond the rare times when the call of aid reaches the average citizens.
