Rodents

Im ready to be cannonballed.

I realized talking with Bear, that poison, disease, saves etc etc is not the issue when dealing with rats. Ok. Half the town walks around in a diseased or post diseased state after a nice "do not feed the animals" session down below. Thats great, disease is a large part of the scene. And there are ways to correct them-which is even better. I began to wonder why everyone from the unlikely wizards to the better suited fighters and barbarians, from elves to the stalwart dwarves fail "all the time" when dealing with rats. I realized it is not that we are failing saves "all the time" no no that was my poor judgement, but soon discovered that we are saving"all the time" There is a difference. Each rat from the thin unhealthy "weak" to the plump just ate breakfast"fat" to the I have nine different plagues in my saliva "dire."

My suggestion is not to take away disease or make it easier to save. But rather maybe not every rat makes a player force a save roll on taking a hit? I know rodents pass on diseases like wildfire, and I also would tend to think that not every one carries the/or a virus. Ive heard alot about this topic and the issue is not we are diseased all the time but we are having to save all the time from each bite. Would it be possible to thin the herd, maybe cull some of the rotten ones? Even it out so its not having to save every time you get bit? I am not trying to come off pissy or rash on this subject. I hope you do not take it that way. And if the intention is to force saves on each failed AB, then I did not notice. Just a thought on the ever popular-rat.
