The occassional splotch of what looks like probably tears, along with a slightly shaky and crude handwriting, make parts of the letter difficult to read
Dear Linda,
Tis been a few days since I last saw ye. I hope yer doin' well.
I was out on a job today wid sum people... a couple 'f Stouthearts (Rollo and Sugnus), Milo, and a few udders... we were to find out 'bout some Ettercaps 'n such... spiders... Linda, 'twas horrible! I was [splotch] ... and I didn' know what ta do! Milo be insistin' we go back in ta save de udders, but I know dat we not be strong enuff by ourselves... I be tellin' 'im I go and get sum help! He be sayin' "Sure.", and Linda, [splotch] ... dat's de last I be hearin' his kind voice! [splotch]
I rushed back ta town, found a few udder Stouthearts (da Thane 'n Maldure, 'n a new lad), Rild, 'n udders... Thane be sayin' we no be leavin' our kin fer spider [splotch]... dey were able ta gets all of dem outta da cave, 'n Rollo and Sugnus, t'ank Berronar 'n Tyr, dey be okay now... but Milo... poor Milo! [splotch] He be dead... I gots his body... 'n I dunno wat ta do? I be hopin' ye can tell me... [splotch]
I be takin' a bit of time off from werk ta mourn da lad... but I comes ta see ya anytime... sorry fer sendin' ye sad news, but me kin just dun seem ta care 'bout a hin much, 'n I know maybe dere's not much can be done. [splotch] Rollo said sum prayers fer de lad... bless 'is soul.
Yours,
Murin Bellet

*linda writes a reply letter and leaves it for Murin at the rock bottom inn saying to herself "I hope it reaches him" as she does*
Dearest Murin,
I"m sad to hear that my first correspondance with you in a while must be of ill matters but such is life I suppose. Things can not go well all the time and we must walk through those ruff times as we would the good ones. I'm sorry to hear of your losses dear I know that that is never easy to deal with speaking from personal experience. I'm glade to hear that your kin are okay though I'm quite sad for Milo as he seemed a brave and nobal hin. As for your kin's reation to Milo's death I would beg you to take it easy on your fellow stouts. It seems you all had great losses that day and in times such as those its hard to take care of all the dead. I'm sure they did not meant to make it seem like they were forgetting him or treating him less because he was not a stout. I think this is evident in Rollo's reaction and willingness to same prayers for Milo. As for his body there are a couple of things you can do. The first would be to simply have it turned over to the Moseleum or bury it. The other option you can do is try and have Milo's soul returned back into the body. The priests in the hold do this service for a price of 1000 coins. If you wish to do the first option then I would be willing to conduct a funeral service for Milo if you wish. Just let me know what you want to do. Stop by the house anytime dear and I"m very sorry for your losses. Tyr bless and keep you safe.
Sincerly,
Linda Kelssa

Crudely written reply, but legible, without the splotches that made it even more difficult to read last time
Dear Linda,
As ye know, I got yer last letter... yes, ye can reach me at da Rock Bottom fer de time bein'. I'll be lettin' ye know if dat changes.
Tank ye fer yer kind words 'n such. Dey meant a lot ta me. I needed a bit a' time to sort it all out, but havin' somehow connected ta Milo threw sum kinda vision ... I really dunno wat it was ... he be tellin' me he at peace, and dat made me much happier... I know dat he be doin' just fine now, and dat 'tis 'is time ta go. I be hopin' we can arrange sum kinda funeral fer 'im, but I know wid all da t'ings goin' on dese days (I be really sorry ta hear 'bout Chell, Linda... I dunno wat ta say...), I know it may nay be possible ... 'n I dunno wat be happenin' to Milo's body neidder! One moment I be havin' it in me pack, de next it be gone... I be havin' ta figure dat one out first.
Anyways, I wanted ta let ya know dat I met Jozan not long 'go, when I came down ta see ya... dere be a dead man in da Bazaar! I t'ink it be Korvus? Sumtin' like dat... de man who used ta give packages ta be delivered 'n such... dat be de one ye be helpin' me wid when we first met. Anyways, Jozan be tellin' me ta report it to da Watch, so I did. Since ye not be 'round, I also gave him a few of Milo's t'ings (some boots, a belt, a ring, a suit of leadder, and sum gloves), to be givin' to ya... hope ye can find a good use fer dem.
Tyr 'n Berronar bless ye, Linda, in dese difficult times.
Yours,

*linda writes back a reply letter*
Dear Murin,
Thank you and Milo for seeing the things donated to the house. Jozan gave me the things after a meeting I had upstairs. I will make sure they go to good use to others. As for Milo I would still be happy to give a funeral for him if you wish. I need to give one for Chell as well. Just let me know when you would like me to do this. Until our next meeting be well and the gods blessings upon you Murin.
Sincerly,
Linda Kelssa
Occ: Been trying to find Milo's player in game but haven't seen him yet.

A reply in the same crude style
Dear Linda,
Aye, yer welcome... I be sure dats what Milo be wantin' ta do wid dese t'ings. I'm glad Jozan be an honourable sort 'n gave dem to ya... ye ne'er can tell dese days. I be lettin' ya know as soon as I find Milo's body 'bout da funeral fer 'im... tank ye fer bein' willin' ta do such, considerin' all de udder t'ings ye gots on yer mind dese days. It be much appreciated.
De gods keep ye well too, dear.

[OOC: I haven't seen Milo's player online recently myself, though I haven't been on much. Once we confirm things with him, and his body appears somewhere, we can do the funeral -- still need to find out where that body is.]
