It's my understanding you've taken it upon yourself to have the gates rebuilt. This is a welcome act on all parts. I would like to personally volunteer Private Aristotle Barelleon to help in constructing the Gate. It had originally been our plan to discipline him by having him rebuild the gate from scratch, because of his unsatisfactory behavior in the Watch. Naturally, he'll be subjected to all orders you have for him, and his failure to cooperate will be met with further punishment on his part.

If you deem it as too much trouble to deal with him, we'll have to see to something else as punishment, but it would be a welcomed favor should you accept his aid as additional muscle in rebuilding the gates.

I have no reason to expect you to take this offer, however should you wish to, or if you have questions, contact me at the Watch House.

Private Barelleon is a stubborn, foolish, and generally immature prick at the best of times. He's been punished and suspended multiple times, and proceeds unhindered with disrespecting his superiors, and being an insubordinant. If you can instill in him any sense of respect for authority, I'll be in your debt.

I doubt however any such thing is possible at this point. If he continues to be troublesome after this, I'll be bringing the matter to the Sheriff personally to see to his expulsion from the Watch.
