How much torture can be hidden by magic?

This came up in game yesterday and I am unsure what can be done with clerical magic.

The scenario: Two men cut the hell out of someone they were torturing, they even cut out his eyes.

They undid all the damage with a clerical wand.

If that is the case, I am shocked there is a single cripple anywhere in this city because frankly, a good hearted member of the house of light with 3 or 4 cure serious wands could set all of them straight, heck a few of my more selfish characters would of bought the wands needed if it was THAT easy.

Is this possible? Can signs of prolonged, horrific torture really be hidden by a clerical wand, including such severe damage as cutting someones eyes out?

It would need to be done with a Regeneration, but on the other hand, you'd need to OOC work any disfigurements out with the other party, as they can't be forced to RP it without a DM involved.
