Quick Change Artists

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RB-wUgnyGv0

Well i watched this and will be damned if I can work out how they do it!!

I saw that when it first aired. I still don't get it. *scratches head*

I think I'm just as awed as the jury. Man that's incredible!

How the hell.....

I suppose the details are known only to the people involved in making that happen, but you'll notice that the "different" outfits tend to change only in color and details, not in overall form. Dresses don't turn into a jacket and trousers or vice versa, for instance. An even more telling clue is that the "previous" outfits are never left behind on the floor.

If you've ever seen these people live, or if you just watch them closely, you'll notice the costumes are a bit padded: so an educated guess would be that the magic relies as much on the layered costumes themselves as on the people using them. But I suppose this is fairly obvious. It would of course be fascinating to know exactly how those quick-change costumes are made.

There's still an immense ammount of skill in doing it quickly and belivably, no matter what the mechanical play is behind it all. Same with magic tricks. They're tricks, the skill is doing them to entertain and that was short but surprisingly entertaining.

They're probrably level 20 Wizards studying School of Illusion!

That has got to be the geekiest response I've ever posted on the internet...

We are not arguing with you on that Colinpoh :D It was very Geeky!!!

nah i think they cant be wizard as there wasnt any verbal or really any somatic parts to it so perhaps they were Epic scorcerer/Scorceress though ofcourse they could have a translucent over garmet with a light emmiting "Blanket" wraped underneith them and at the flick of a switch/ press of a button hey presto instand new clothing though i could just be plain and simply wrong

I noticed with the ring with the things hanging down, you can actually see the purple dress fall down over the green one, so i assume the green one is hidden under it.
