If I understood correctly that you're proposing there should be gear and armor handed to new characters, you've probably misunderstood the nature and spirit of the server. Most PCs are escaped slaves who by all accounts should be ragged and poor when they arrive to the town of Sanctuary.

If your concept would be different, I believe you're more than welcome to send in an application for the DMs to read over that details your character concept, including why the character should have some special gear in the beginning.

In any case, you should read a bit on the server's setting and background before creating a character. It'll save you quite a lot of trouble and answer many questions. Here is a good place to start.

There is a starting equipment shop in the OOC area, as well as a bazaar filled with shops in Upper Sanctuary (labeled on your map).
