It's really starting to bother me... I can't figure out how to pronounce Duergar.
I think it's something like "doo-way-gar", but I can't think of an example or the grammar rules to back it up.
Anyone know?

Durr-garr. I hope.
i called them do-ware-gar
*shrug*
I think Bear has it right, simply because i remember "Imoen" from Baldurs Gate 2 pronouncing them that way. That's hardly scientific, but trust me - actresses know EVERYTHING.
I will be more than willing to answer that in game with a great axe :D
It is pronounced like the Old Norse word dvergar.
I confess, my Old Norse is just a tad rusty these days.
I dunno, I've always said it "Doo-gur"
Old Norse my ass, it's pronounced like the Icelandic word "Dvergur" or "dvergar" in plural.... ;) Which mean "Dwarf"... :Þ
Well here's a thought...
Does it really matter? :D
It only becomes a problem when you get totally different spellings, such as "Elven" and "Elvish". ( Personally, I've always taken the former to be the veridical. ) Or even clumsy terminology for describing followers of a Deity. The Classic one is "Cyrican" instead of Cyricist. Cyricist has a much nicer flow.
Funny, she doesnt look Druish spaceballs...anyone?
But seriously, just ask Meltdown. Its Dorger. not seriously at all
Uhh... thanks. I think...
haha, I laugh at you, and your primitive language you call english! and your irregular and messed up pronunciation system..
Back to the point, I think its "doo-ehr-gar". At least my (Finno-Uralic) language instinct would put it out like that..
Lets just call them dark dwarves and be done with it.
The correct way to pronounce the word is Muppets.
I remember hearing something about it being "Door-gar". At least that's how I pronounce it.
