Okay. So.

Moved into a new house. Wireless net, very nice. Problem is, when I try NWN or any game (surfing is fine, javachats run fine) then it just drops my wireless connection. As soon as I close the game, the wireless starts up again.

Anyone have any thoughts?

check and see if your wireless network is locked if its not your anti virus program/firewall may think that the game is a hack attempt and is droping your network connection to prevent the "attack" though i have only had that once and that was with a crap anti Vi

If your router has a firewall built into it, often it will block traffic from a game because it looks essentially like a hack attempt.

What you can do is turn off the firewall or if you log into the web server on your router (connect to 192.168.1.1 in a web browser is common) where all the setup stuff is, you can put your computer in the DMZ by entering its assigned IP address (192.168.1.100 for example) and this will make that computer outside of the firewall.

If this works, then you know its a firewall issue. If so, then there's more steps you can take to turn the firewall back on and allow the game.
