I mentioned this in IRC, but I'll post here for listing purposes.

I never recieved any penalties to Dex based skills as a ranger, but the moment I took one level in rogue, I recieved a -1 penalty to most rogue skills. Notably, Hide and Move Silently (I didn't spend any points in pickpocket or pick locks, so I don't know what sort of penalty those have)

Does this happen with bards as well?

Well Alex wears Studded Leathers, and as mentioned before, I didn't have any penalty when I was a ranger, only when I took one level as a rogue.

Check Sabel's stats, LaBrea. With and without your armour.

Check your char sheet, if it shows as "skill decrease" it's somehow the server, if it doesnt, it's you (client).

Yes. Sabel gets armor penalties.

Meddle with equipped an unequipped armour to see if the penalty stays or goes. Try and weasel it down to items or hide.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but I have 1 rogue/ 1 ranger and my character has 'skill decrease' all the time, and I can't figure where it comes from. No matter if I use armor, or not. He is a human.

I think the skill decrease is to Pickpocket?

That sounds right. That -1 is armor penalty.

So... is anything wrong?

Last i checked, it seemed to be fixed. I'll double check when I can.

I have a Skill Penalty icon on my character sheet and on the top right of my screen, but looking at my stats, I see no penalty. I'm guessing the penalty applies to Pick Pocket, which I do not have since Rogue is a cross class for my character.

Would be more helpful if a pure Rogue character player would comfirm this.

Aside from that, I'm guessing this bug is fixed, or resolved itself.
