This was Christair's grand plan for world domination. I enjoyed writing it, and now that he's dead I'm sharing it with you for fun.

Friends and allies, if you are reading this then you are part of the inner circle. The circle of Bane that shall rule the world. If you are not yet a Banite, consider this your incentive, for all I say within applies only to followers of the Black Hand.

I have been only a limited time in this "Underdark", but it has been long enough for me to become aware of its potential. We share this space with a number of powerful entities, most prominently the Drow, the Beholders and the Illithid. It is our destiny to rule these creatures (except for the Illithid, who cannot be trusted and must be destroyed). We have the organization to overcome the Drow, the numbers to beat the beholders, and the brainless automata to exterminate the mind flayers.

Once the drow and beholders are slaves to our will, the Duergar will fall in line quickly. This power will make the journey to the surface a simple one, and we will conquer and assimilate all that lie between us and our future domain.

At the time of the Rising, we will have absolute control over Sanctuary. All will fear the Black Lord and pay him homage or be sent to wander the wastes alone.

Once we have reached the surface, the combined might of the Underdark will allow us to carve out a kingdom. A kingdom unlike any Faerun has ever seen. A kingdom that will expand at an unprecedented pace, with the unfamiliar powers that it effortlessly combines.

All of Faerun will fall under our rule. Bane's will shall be an irresistable tide, sweeping all before it. Many will join us voluntarily; others will be conquered. Resistance will be quelled with brutality such that no one will think of defying the Lord of Strife.

You are present at the very start of this plan. Your strength and foresight are unmatched. As such, you deserve the greatest of rewards.

Every adult in Sanctuary at the time of the Rising will be granted a portion of the surface world to rule. This is their right as the strong, for escaping the domination of slavery themselves. You, however, are special. You deserve far more than they. They will receive a small fief or barony at the most. You, however, will rule a kingdom.

Every man of us a king. Something you have dreamed of since childhood: rulership. It is within your grasp. Work hard, give your all, and our goal will be accomplished. You WILL be a king.
