but I feel that the same needs to be said for the Letters forums. Not to pick on Elytherin, but I feel that posts of this nature: https://efupw.com/efu1-forum/topic/78/7842/letters-sent-to-kaddaz-and-frubo/index.html

are inappropriate.

In general I feel that people should stick to both "letters" and "notices" in these posts, and leave RPing reactions to IG. If a letter is likely to be intercepted (as in, its unsealed or has been left in a place someone else may pick it up) then perhaps we need a way of working out who does actually encounter that letter and just when does what should be OOC knowledge becomes IC knowledge for your character.

Otherwise ANYONE could "RP" an interception of the letter on the forum without any real effort towards such espionage IG.

I completely agree with you and would say that this kind of action should only be done after approval has been obtained from a DM.

Whilst I appreciate what the player is trying to do this is basically taking OOC information the person has no way of knowing about and taking it for IG purposes.

My feeling is that these entries should be deleted and the player should not use this information.

Yeah, its cool Elytherin. Wasn't trying to make you feel bad, just think perhaps something needs to be added to the letters and notes section advising posters about this kind of stuff. To help with the learning curve!

I'm glad you apologized here. Because especially the one about digging in the Watch File room bothered me quite a bit.

That sort of thing definitely isn't acceptable, but as long as you realize your mistake and don't do it again, I'm fine with it.

yeah thats no problems though something in the game mechanic would be cool so that it may be possible to intercept mail as it is in all likelyhood possible to intercept mail and it would make for interesting RP until that time you wont get any more from me :) and i deleted them if no body noticed :)
