Letter to the Thane of Tornbeard Hall

*A personal letter with a copy of this posting is sent to the Thane of Tornbeard Hall, his letter reads*

Thane,

The city of Sanctuary has within it men and women seeking a return to the traditions our human kin hold on the surface. As an honorable people of tradition, owing fealty to their Thane we expect this move meets with your approval.

We wish to have your support and influence on the drafting of our own proposals for the peerage. It is our expectation that as the Thane of a semi-autonomous body that you shall find within this system the rank of Duke, coupled with the privilages and obligations therewithstanding.

Especially, this shall free your Halls of a set percentage of any property tax that may be proposed against your lands. In exchange your warriors shall be called upon in due course and under legal contracts for the protection of all our mutual holdings and securities, thereby garnering the laurels of honorable and courageous service.

In regards,

Scion Dungal Toboerski

if i accepted this grasious offer i would need to know of any benifits that may come from it and i should need t know the rank of each of the dwarven councils ranks within this society.

Thane Runehammer

Thane Runehammer,

That is indeed, the very reason that I'd wish to hear you opine honestly about how you wish to see this work. The benefits protecting you from property taxes is clear, and I feel with foresight.

Yet other benefits for the dwarves of your community are exactly what I wish to hear, coupled just as closely with the duties that you willingly accept for these benefits. No aristocratic society functions without these mutual offers.

In regards,

Scion Dungal Toboerski
