Im not saying this is going to happen or anything but what would the players of EFU think about having a temporary civil war going on in the city?

It could happen but somebody needs to push for it in the game.

Such a conflict would be fun, but it shouldn't just suddenly break loose from nothing. It has to be a raising conflict which in the end -might- lead to a sivil war.

I've heard rumours that one was going to come about a few months back by one of Kiaring's former characters. You could not believe how enthusiastic everyone was about the idea, so yeah. I think there is plenty of support for the idea!

I expect it'll happen, I know I had a character working to make it happen. Others shall in time too.

It's happened before, and the causal effects for it haven't been completely healed. It's a definite possibility. :P

The foundation for this already exists - upper and lower. Lowers hate uppers. The tigers hate the watch and vice versa. And lets not forget Sewertown which is the lowest of the low and probably hates both groups.

The foundation for such a conflict is already there, a group of players just need to nudge it a bit to push it over the edge. We need an act of terrorism from one group upon the other group to ignite it. Whether that be an assassination, bombing, hostage situation, accidental death during a peaceful protest.......something has to spark it.

There is easily-findable information on the Ubel Rebellion, one of the most flavorful parts of the setting the EfU DM team put together to make Sanctuary and the world of EfU. I'd advise reading up on it, as it might provide some direct insight on this matter.

This absolutely will happen at some undetermined point in the future, even if I end up causing it myself. :)

I think some of the expectations posted here may be a bit off, but certainly if various things happen ICly a civil war of some sort is a possibility. I predict that it would be very enjoyable for all involved!

Civil War! What a fun idea, we should try it at some point...I mean Sanctuary isn't perfect its already on its toes already! And it would shake things up a bit... :wink:
