I have two items of great urgency. The first is an issue with Herod Welton. He has leveled charges against you for heresy, has accused you of abandoning the Black Lord for Cyric, and of conspiring to burn the keep when you return to the surface. Of course if this is true, you will be executed, but I have doubts as to the veracity of these charges. Welton flip-flops his stories more then a fish out of water, and of course, a fish deserves nothing less then being gutted. As you know from his own admission, he himself is a heretic and is under sentence of death with orders to return to the keep for execution. This alone throws a shadow on any words he utters. My recommendation is that you challenge him. Bane’s support will be shown to the victor.

Secondly, a Priest of the Black Fist, Imperator Avoun will convene a conclave of the faithful about one week from now. I am sending out missives to all known members of the faith for indication on willingness and ability to attend. The date, time, and location will be forthcoming. You and I should talk before this….
